Choose a palette you can mix and match

Start with two colors you already wear and add a contrasting one if you like. Lay your clothes out on the bed: each bottom should work with more than one top.

You don’t need to buy a whole outfit to try this exercise. A T-shirt, a shirt, and a pair of shoes you know well are a good starting point. Then decide whether you’re missing a specific item.

Trousers for more active days

The elastic waist and pockets can be practical for a trip. Among our cotton trousers, the Cómodo has a plain hem with sewn-in pleats, while the Elástico has a partially gathered hem. Choose based on the shape you prefer and the measurements.

Compare it with a pair of trousers you find comfortable when sitting down. Just because the elastic stretches to a certain length doesn’t mean you should always wear it at its limit. Here we explain how to check.

A skirt and a jacket that work well on their own, too

The Waterproof Skirt has pockets and an elastic waist. Its asymmetrical length means you should check both the front and back with your shoes. It can be worn with a shirt or a T-shirt.

The Waterproof jacket shares its fabric and color with the skirt; with other pieces you own, each item creates a different outfit. The jacket is a windbreaker, not technical waterproof gear. Bring the protection required for the forecast and your activities.

Do a trial run before closing your suitcase

1. Try on the complete outfits, including the shoes.
2. Sit down and walk around: check the waist, lengths, and room to move.
3. Check the care labels if you plan to do laundry during your trip.
4. Remove anything that only works with an outfit you won’t wear.

The volume and weight of your suitcase depend on what you pack and your baggage allowance. We don’t assume a garment takes up “zero space.” What you can do is choose it with several uses in mind.
