Slow Fashion
Fewer garments, more intention.
We buy more clothes than ever and feel like we have less to wear. The fast fashion model has created wardrobes full of clothes that don't work together, don't last, and don't mean anything. Slow fashion proposes the opposite.
"It's not about spending more. It's about buying with intention: knowing where the garment comes from, who made it, and how long it will last in your wardrobe."
The Model
What slow fashion really is
Slow fashion isn't just about buying expensive or branded clothes. It's a change of mindset: choosing garments with a known origin, produced under dignified conditions, with materials that last, and a design that doesn't go out of style in two seasons. It's the opposite of the weekly collection model that has normalized throwing away clothes as if they were paper.
In Practice
How to apply it without being radical
There's no need to empty your closet all at once. Start with a simple rule: before buying something new, ask if you would wear it more than 30 times. If the answer is no, don't buy it. If the answer is yes, invest in something with real origin and design.
The System
Drops as a slow model
At WRAPJKT, we apply slow fashion from the design phase: we produce in small batches, with Italian manufacturing and no restocks. Our limited drop editions are the opposite of fast fashion: when they're gone, they're gone. This forces us to produce only what's necessary and to design garments that are truly worthwhile.
